Abstract: Mulching and soil water content (SWC) have a significant impact on soil erosion, and this study investigatedthe effect of straw mulching on water infiltration and soil loss under different initial SWC treatmentsin a rainfall simulation experiment conducted in northern China.Increasing initial SWC can decrease soil infiltration and increase soil loss.During an 80 mm rainfall event (80 mm·h for 60 min), 8%, 12% and 16% initial SWC treatments decreased

Yuan Wei,Li Zongqian,Liu Ning

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 6,   Pages 50-56

Abstract:

The scattering coefficient and emissivity are both very sensitive to the moisture content of baresoil surface, which is the essence of measuring soil moisture by using microwave technology. The methods and characters of three microwave remote sensing modes for soil moisture retrieval are discussedthe paper analyzes the distribution of isomoisture regions of different data sets, and presents that soilmoisture information can be retrieved by using ANN with appropriate input data set.

The Influence of Priori Knowledge on Soil Moisture Inversion by Using Passive Remote Sensing

Tang Lu,Li Zongqian,Shi Changsheng,Wang Xin

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 3,   Pages 53-58

Abstract:

It's pointed out by this paper that the priori knowledge of random rough soil surface is neededin soil moisture inversion by using passive remote sensing, so the precision of priori knowledge hassurface height distribution, soil temperature, and soil texture.Simulation result shows that it's feasible to invert soil moisture by neural network (NN) based onmoisture is allowable even there is some uncertainty on these three kinds of priori knowledge.

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 5,   Pages 71-75

Abstract:

This article mainly formulates that rainfall seeping makes the volumetric water of unsaturated soilchanging, and the water content relates closely to soil suction. That means soil suction changes with the stability of whole unsaturated soil slope, that is, the safetyBy monitoring the volumetric water condition changing of unsaturated soil slope, some information ofunsaturated soil slope stability can be obtained.

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2023, Volume 10, Issue 4,   Pages 553-565 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE-2023519

Abstract:

The growing need to mitigate rainfall-runoff pollution, especially first flush, calls for accurateThe wash-off model has advantages in modeling rainfall-runoff pollution due to the inclusion of two keyHowever, this disregards pollution load from wet precipitation and the relationship between rainfallThis study integrated the Soil Conservation Service curve number (SCS-CN) into the wash-off model andadded pollutant load from wet precipitation to enhance the rainfall-runoff pollution modeling.
